The idea behind Pacific Pathways is to provide routes to items held in the Forster Collection at the Pitt Rivers Museum. All of the items are connected to the history of New Zealand and the South Sea Islands, with the pathways concentrating on society and culture. Amongst the topics covered are clothing, mourning dress, barkcloth, musical instruments, household objects and Mai, the first South Sea Islander to come to Britain.
