  • "Sergt. Curtis, 26/47, died at Fulham Military Hospital, London, on August 11th, from a wound in the back. His funeral left the hospital at 9.30 on the morning of Wednesday, August 17th, for Kensal Green Cemetery. There were wreaths from the New Zealand Office and from the Association." (Chronicles of the N.Z.E.F. August 30, 1916 p. 8)
