  • Image 1: Egypt, 1915. (NB. If photo of William, date would need to be 1916. Perhaps a typographical error. Otherwise, the photo is actually of William's brother Owen, who died at Gallipoli.)
  • The remaining images were taken from a collection of postcards sent by William Niccolls to his wife from Egypt, 1916. They include Port Said, Statue of Ferdinand du Lesseps, ships, small boats, docks, houses.
