- Price returned to New Zealand on the S.S. 'Harleck Castle' but later joined the Staff 7 NZMR as 4060 Regimental Sergeant-Major, sailing aboard S.S. 'Gulf of Taranto' from Wellington on 6 April 1901. (Stowers, p.153)
- After the war Price stayed in Transvaal working in the diamond mines.
- Price also served in World War One in East Africa.
- His sister was the first New Zealand Nurse in France to be decorated with the Royal Red Cross, presented by King George. (Stowers, p.153)
