- Served Kayforce 1952-54
- "An immediate increase in the already heavy workload was noticeable, with November 1954 being the company's [10 Company, RNZASC] busiest month since its inception, more than 335,000 task kilometres being clocked up. It was also a bad month in terms of casualties, for both Driver J.E. Burborough and Corporal Arthur May (one of the company's original members) died as a result of vehicle accidents which occurred on successive days." (McGibbon 1996, vol. 2, p. 358)
- Died of injuries received in a vehicle accident, the day before he was due to retun home.
