Notes: Photographer is accredited as Captain H.A. Sanders. Official photograph of Sir Peter Buck, Second in Command, New Zealand Pioneer Battalion, and Thomas MacKenzie, the New Zealand High Commissioner in London, visiting New Zealand troops in France during the First World War. MacKenzie established the agreement with Pathe Freres to show NZ-made documentaries in Europe. This led to the employment of Sanders, from Pathe Freres, as NZEF Official Cameraman in France.
