| Biographical Notes |
- Rockstrow was present with the baggage-guard from Middle Bosch in February 1900 at which point he was promoted to Sergeant. He was promoted to Quartermaster-Sergeant when Berland was captured at Koornspruit. (Stowers, p.176)
- Rockstrow returned to New Zealand aboard the S.S. 'Orient'. He was promotd to Captain and based at Defence Headquarters in Wellington.
- He later became the editor of the 1 NZMR Association Bulletin.
