Biographical Notes
  • Son of John Patrick Lennane and of Ethel Elizabeth Lennane (nee Herbert), of Gisborne, Auckland, New Zealand.
  • Gunner Lennane and his troop were sheltering in a building in La Romola when he and nine others were killed in an explosion. It was thought the probable cause was a booby trap.
