  • Son of Mary Jane and Thomas James Gullery. Family associated with D'Urville Island, French Pass, Marlborough Sounds, Picton.
  • Three sons, brothers served in WW1 Nathan Newton Gullery (10/3450), James Henry Gullery (26/668) and Lawrence Gullery (12385) who died 12 October 1917, family believe at Passchendaele.
  • Namesake also called Lawrence Gullery born Hawke's Bay 1970's, he is the grandson of his brother Nathan Newton Gullery (10/3450).
